Join Rachel Ishiguro (she/her), IAYT-certified yoga therapist, for an online yoga class series or workshop.

Rachel specializes in:

  • Yoga for stress and pain reduction
  • Improving movement patterns
  • Growing your awareness of what your body is telling you so you can be in the driver’s seat of your own healing.

What people are saying about online yoga classes:

“After a couple of years in your classes and experiencing the results, there is no doubt your โ€œless is moreโ€ approach was tremendously beneficial for me. At first I was skeptical that deceptively simple movements would improve my issues. I figured I would do a week of gentle yoga and then move up to the next yoga โ€œlevelโ€. Little did I know, there was no need to โ€œmove upโ€ to get benefits. I always thought your guidance/suggestions were spot on. The instructions were flexible enough (no pun intended) to work for a studio of folks with diverse needs.”

Yoga Nidra for the Fall Season

September 20th, 3:00 PM Pacific Time on Zoom plus recording access

As the fall season settles in and the days grow shorter, join me for the guided relaxation practice known as Yoga Nidra, or sleep meditation. Fall is a natural time to slow down and turn inward, which makes it the perfect season to rest more deeply. Despite the name, this practice is a form of conscious awareness and not an actual nap (although if you need one, that’s OK too.

Deeply relaxing and rejuvenating, Yoga Nidra is well researched and commonly used therapeutically for everything from stress, anxiety, and insomnia to physical pain. The entire practice is guided, with a clear structure; no experience is necessary, and it’s very easy to do. All you need is a comfortable place to relax, which can be on a bed, couch, chair, or on the floor. You do not need to be on camera for this workshop so feel free to make yourself comfortable.

Workshop fee: $22

Includes 1 week of recording access for those who canโ€™t attend live or who would like to review the practice more than once.

I offer a “pay what you can” pricing option on this program. To use it, enter the code PAYWHATYOUCAN at checkout to waive the fee, and then donate what you can at paypal.me/rachelishiguroyoga.

Yoga Nidra Meditation for Reslience

October 4 – 25, Sundays 3 – 4pm Pacific Time on Zoom plus recording access

Whether youโ€™re new to Yoga Nidra, trying to incorporate more regular practice, or wanting to go deeper, this 4-week therapeutic yoga program will give you the chance to learn more about this powerful ancient practice.

Nidra means โ€œsleepโ€ in Sanskrit, and the practice of Yoga Nidra explores a sleep-like state through guided meditation. Like sleep, Yoga Nidra can be restful and rejuvenating, and it can also give rise to insight. Itโ€™s one of my favorite therapeutic practices because it can have so many benefits.

  • Rest and relaxation, and all the health benefits that come from this.
  • Improved nighttime sleep
  • Stress and pain reduction
  • Helps with anxiety and improves mood
  • Access to insight and mental clarity

Yoga Nidra is a great meditation practice for beginners because it removes some of the barriers that make meditation challenging. Itโ€™s fully guided, so all you have to do is follow along, and it can be done in any comfortable position. Yes, this includes lying on your bed if you want!

In this 4-class series, youโ€™ll learn about and experience different techniques that can be used within Yoga Nidra practice. Weโ€™ll also talk a bit about ojas, the vital essence in Ayurveda that provides our resilience and immunity, and is key to health. Every time we meet, weโ€™ll do a guided practice, and weโ€™ll also have time for questions and discussion.

Practices will be recorded, and will be made available for download so you can keep them forever. Discussions will not be recorded for privacy reasons, and participants will never be shown on any recording.

I offer โ€œpay what you canโ€ pricing on this program. To use this option, enter code PAYWHATYOUCAN at checkout to waive the fee, and then send whatever amount you can afford to https://paypal.me/rachelishiguroyoga.

To receive access to the downloadable recordings, a minimum payment of $70 is required. You are welcome to attend the live classes for less if you need to do so.
