Group Yoga Classes and Workshops

Join Rachel Ishiguro (she/her), IAYT-certified yoga therapist, for a small-group class series or workshop. Rachel specializes in yoga for stress and pain reduction, improving movement patterns, and growing your awareness of what your body is telling you so you can be in the driver’s seat of your own healing.

Programs are offered ONLINE or IN-PERSON at various locations around San Diego. Many programs have “pay what you can” or sliding scale options.

What people are saying:

After a couple of years in your classes and experiencing the results, there is no doubt your “less is more” approach was tremendously beneficial for me. At first I was skeptical that deceptively simple movements would improve my issues. I figured I would do a week of gentle yoga and then move up to the next yoga “level”. Little did I know, there was no need to “move up” to get benefits. I always thought your guidance/suggestions were spot on. The instructions were flexible enough (no pun intended) to work for a studio of folks with diverse needs.

Yoga Nidra: Sleep Meditation Workshop

Sunday, February 12th, 4:00- 5:00pm Pacific Time on Zoom plus recording access

Join me for the guided relaxation practice known as Yoga Nidra, or sleep meditation. Despite the name, this practice is a form of conscious awareness and not an actual nap (although if you need one, that’s OK too. You’ll get recording access for two weeks following the workshop so you can try again.) Deeply relaxing and rejuvenating, Yoga Nidra is well researched and commonly used therapeutically for everything from stress, anxiety, and insomnia to physical pain. The entire practice is guided, with a clear structure; no experience is necessary, and it’s very easy to do. All you need is a comfortable place to relax, which can be on a bed, couch, chair, or on the floor. You do not need to be on camera for this workshop so feel free to make yourself comfortable.

Workshop fee: $20. Class will be recorded (only the teacher video will show on the recording) and will be available to registered students to view online for two weeks. Downloads will not be permitted.

I offer a “pay what you can” pricing option on this program. To use it, enter the code PAYWHATYOUCAN at checkout to waive the fee, and then donate what you can at paypal.me/rachelishiguroyoga.

Strong & Steady Yoga ONLINE 4-class series

February 26th – March 19th, Sundays 12:00- 1:00pm Pacific Time on Zoom plus recording access

In this class, you’ll explore ways to challenge your body without the struggle, using awareness of sensation & breath to discover the sweet spot between effort and ease. Move through poses in sometimes unconventional ways, building strength, balance, and control within your comfortable range of motion. The pace is slow and easy to follow, and options are included for all levels of experience. We’ll explore a wide range of poses, including standing poses and those done seated and lying down. This practice is suitable for anyone who can get on and off the floor.

Program fee (4-class series): $64. Classes will be recorded (only the teacher video will show on the recording) and will be available to registered students to view for one week following each class. Downloads will not be permitted.

I offer a “pay what you can” pricing option on this program. To use it, enter the code PAYWHATYOUCAN at checkout to waive the fee, and then donate what you can at paypal.me/rachelishiguroyoga.
